EYEBROWS #101

STOP! Put down the tweezers! If you’re new to brow-scaping (that’s plucking out your eyebrow hairs) there is one main rule; GO. SLOW.

Eyebrow hairs take a really long time to grow back in and because they sit so prominently on your face, they’re next to impossible to hide if you pluck one too high, or too short, or too thin (OMG! ‘90s brows!)

So to start, put down the tweezers and go talk to a relative or trusted friend (hopefully one with amazing brows) and ask them to teach you.

If you have quite thick brows, your mum/aunt/carer/friend may even be good enough to book you into a professional to have them shaped properly first-time round.

If you want to read up on the whole process first, go to the experts, here are some great links to get you started…

Also, you’re beautiful just how you are. If you really want to pluck your brows for the first time, ask yourself; ‘Do I want to do this for me?’ – if yes, then go for gold. If it’s only because all your friends are doing it or someone said something to you then perhaps hold off for a bit – you might just change your mind and unlike wearing a bright lipstick, eyebrows are really hard to get back to their original form.
