St Patrick’s Day!

This Thursday is St Patrick’s Day, yay! 

In what was a traditionally Irish celebration to remember St Patrick (the Patron Saint of Ireland), the day is now a huge holiday to celebrate Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green!

Leprechauns (magical little bearded men from Irish folklore who are often quite naughty!) also feature heavily – as do their trademark rainbows and pots of gold – not to forget the four-leaf clover.
