Franc.World Debuts NFT Collection to Metaverse
Franc.World’s first #NFTArt Collection, entitled: Heart Strings
A set of 36 NFTs based off 12 multi-media original artworks by 10-year-old Australian artist FRANC have been released to the metaverse in February, 2022.
Known as Heart Strings, the collection has been launched fittingly, on Valentine’s Day (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on NFT Marketplace Opensea.
Fittingly therefore, Heart Strings’ is so titled as it explores the concept of love as a ‘tween’, not focusing on romantic connections, but rather the importance of self-love and the importance of having a loving, supportive environment at this stage of life.
The actual artwork themselves are also representative of this age with each piece a study in texture, bright pattern, bold colours and sensory stimulation. The digital NFTs created will be in MP4 format, bringing further movement and life to the already tactile creations.
Truly art with heart, 10% of each original artwork sold will go to Franc.World. The funds will be used to support initiatives such as the Franc Award for Art, the annual Franc Report (which provides insights into the thoughts and mental health of this age group), and to support the platform’s chosen charities such as Share The Dignity and the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
The colours relate to the Pantone ‘Colour of the Year’, with one for each of the 11 years in Franc’s life (including her 11th birthday in 2022).
