How did you first become interested in pursuing a career in real estate, and what motivated you to become a real estate agent?

I started in reception at the age of 17 with the ambition to build a Limitless Career for myself.

What are some important qualities or skills that a successful real estate agent should have?

They need to be dedicated and mentally tough. This business is a head game; success is hard work and mindset.

Could you share some tips for tweens/teens who are interested in possibly pursuing a career in real estate in the future?

Real Estate is not for the faint-hearted, but it is an incredible career full of crazy highs and also some pretty solid grind. You can make the life of your wildest dreams; you get to choose. Choose your hard. It's hard to bs also hard to be successful. You choose what ’ou choose what you prefer!

How do you stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in your industry?

I am a forever learner, so I subscribe to all the podcasts and read all the articles to ensure I never miss a beat. Elite Agent is a daily mag that is published online, Josh Phegan gives out daily tips and Sherrie Storor has a fantastic podcast too.

You also provide mentorship – how important is it to you to give back?

This is a vital part of what I do with my team. It fills my cup more than it fills theirs some days, I'm sure, but this is what brings me joy in the business: seeing people grow and, in particular, incredible young people building their best lives through a rewarding career in real estate.

What do you enjoy most about being a real estate agent, and what are the biggest challenges you face in your day-to-day work?

I enjoy that no two days are ever the same. I enjoy the flexibility and the uncapped income. I love that you aren’t limited by age or sex. You are literally as good as you want to be. No one else gets to stand in your way!

What advice do you have for the next generation who may be interested in purchasing their first home in the future?

Look at reinvesting - it can be such an awesome first step in getting into the market, making money, and then trading up to buy your first home.

Have you faced any obstacles or setbacks in your career as a real estate agent, and if so, how did you overcome them?

Lots!! It was hard to be a young girl in this game when I started out. My parents lived in another country and I didn’t have anyone to pick me up and dust me off when I got discriminated against. When I was coming through the ranks, there were no women business owners and it was mostly older gentlemen that decided everyone’s fate.

I was given an amazing opportunity once, only to be met with some pretty serious sexual harassment, and given that I objected, I lost that opportunity! I honestly believe my values and my backbone wouldn’t allow me to give up that day and although I don’t think of it often, I certainly think it happened for a reason as I simply wasn’t supposed to go down that road. What felt disastrous at the time was real life happening for me and the universe saying.. oh no, you don’t, girlfriend… you are meant for far better things.

What are your future goals and aspirations in the real estate industry, and how do you plan on achieving them?

I have aspirations to continue growing the world's best team. We already have a team of 120 people. I am super keen to build the business to all new heights in the next five years. I love going to work with great people and doing great things.

Franc’s Fast Five

What is your favourite thing to do for fun? I love a Sunday Margarita with friends.

What daily habit do you live by? 5am wake up, journalling, gratitudes, walk, goal of 10,000 steps, 2L water and asleep by 9pm.

What is your favourite holiday destination? Queenstown, New Zealand.

Who would you invite to dinner (living or dead)? My mum! I’d give anything to have one more hug, one more dinner, especially if it was her famous roast chicken with roast potatoes.

Chips or Chocolate? Both!
