Three Essential Beauty Tools and How to Use Them

As a tween, you may choose to be interested in makeup and may (or may not!) wear it from time to time. If you’re a fan, here are three essential beauty tools to have in your makeup kit - and how to use them!

Spoolie: Yes you read that right, the funny little brush in mascara has a name, and that name is spoolie – cute huh! Spoolie’s have lots of uses (beyond mascara) and are great to have on hand. Brush them through your eyebrows of a morning to keep them trim and tidy or use them with a little Vaseline or clear lip balm to give your brows a laminated look… $5 Pack of 12 - Kmart.

Make-up Sponge: With so many uses, these little guys really are amazing in any make-up kit. They can be used wet or dry and can blend powders, creams and liquid makeup seamlessly. Like any makeup sponge, don’t forget to wash them regularly to keep them hygienic... $8.95 - Adore Beauty.

Eyelash Curler: For an everyday ‘no makeup’ makeup look (like for school), an eyelash curler can be a great tool. Sure, it’s not the same as mascara, but it does lift your lashes and really ‘open’ up your eyes. If you want to wear mascara, an eyelash curler is also an awesome first step to really make the post of your product… $11.99 - Chemist’s Warehouse.
