UN WOMEN

It’s official! Franc. World’s Founders have become members of UN Women! Woohoo! 

We are so excited to align ourselves with other amazing organisations that champion the rights of women and girls.

UN Women focuses on women’s rights and are committed to advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women. UN Women Australia is a registered charity in Australia which exists to raise funds for and awareness of UN Women’s work across the Pacific and around the world. 

‘Gender inequalities remain deeply entrenched in every society. Every day, women face violence and discrimination; lack access to decent work opportunities and equal pay; are denied access to basic education and health care; and are under-represented in political and economic decision-making processes.’

UN Women is working to change this, with priorities including;

• Ending violence against women and girls

• Ending poverty through enhancing women’s economic empowerment

• Responding in emergencies to ensure women’s needs and talents are at the centre of disaster planning and response

• Women’s leadership and political participation

• Women’s inclusion in peace-making processes and negotiations

We can’t wait to lend our support and voice to this incredible Charity.
